Mark Walz

Mark Walz dedicates his work to the use of technology in education and advising practical solutions that reduce liability while harnessing the benefits of new technology. Additionally, Mark counsels school entities in all matters related to special education litigation, including due process hearings and federal court appeals. Mark frequently lectures to school administrators, parents, and students on the safe use of social networking and modern technology both in school and at home. Prior to joining the firm, Mark was a Deputy District Attorney for Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where he was assigned to the Special Victims Division. While there, he gained extensive courtroom experience and specialized in the investigation and prosecution of child abuse and computer crimes cases. Through that experience, Mark has gained unique insight into computer and mobile phone forensics, social networking, and the pitfalls of modern technologies.

Dr. Tony Sinanis is a Lead Learner at National Blue Ribbon School Cantiague Elementary in Jericho, New York. He is co-author of Hacking Leadership (Book 5 in the popular Hack Learning Series) andThe Power of Branding andPrincipal Professional Development (Corwin Press). Tony is the 2014 New York State Elementary Principal of the Year and the 2013 Bammy Awards’ National Elementary School Principal of the Year. As part of his doctoral studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Tony explored the relationship between active participation on Twitter and the professional development of principals.@TonySinanis is the founder and co-moderator of #NYedchat. Tony also co-hosts the Successful Schools podcast with Dr. Joe Sanfelippo. Most important, Tony is a proud dad to Paul.
